How it works

Know what to expect.
Feel better about getting started.

Having someone work on your home or property can feel like a big step. Here’s how we move from the first conversation to the finished job, with time for questions along the way.

Regular service

A conversation first.
A clear next step.

You don’t need to have it all figured out before you call. We’ll talk through the problem, meet when needed, and agree on the work before it begins.

  1. Tell us what’s going on.

A sticking door. A growing repair list. A space that needs attention. Start with what you’ve noticed, where the property is, and what you’d like to be different. You don’t need to know the name of the part or have the solution figured out.

Your part: describe the concern in your own words. Photos can help, if you have them.

  2. We talk, then make a plan to meet.

The first conversation helps us understand the job and whether it fits the work we do. When a visit is needed, we set an appointment to meet, look things over, and talk through the scope together. Any assessment fee is explained before that visit is scheduled.

Your part: let us know about access, your availability, and anything we should know before arriving.

  3. You get a clear picture of the work.

We go over what needs doing, what is included, and what may need a separate specialist or a closer look. You receive the proposed scope, pricing, and payment terms to review. Ask questions, talk through priorities, and decide what makes sense for you.

Your part: review the plan and approve the work you want to move forward with.

  4. We get ready for the appointment.

Once the work is agreed, we coordinate a work date and discuss materials, access, and any preparation. We’ll explain if an area needs to be cleared or if the work may interrupt normal use of the space.

Your part: arrange access and complete any preparation we’ve discussed together.

  5. Danny gets to work—and keeps you in the loop.

We work through the agreed scope and keep you informed about progress. Sometimes opening something up reveals another issue. If that changes the proposed work or cost, we explain the finding and get your approval before taking on the additional work.

Your part: be available for questions or decisions. You don’t need to supervise every step.

  6. We walk through it together.

At the end, we review what was done and give you a chance to ask questions or point out something that needs attention. We go over any remaining agreed items, useful care instructions, the final invoice, and any applicable warranty details. The goal is a finished job you understand and feel comfortable with.

Your part: take a look, ask questions, and tell us how the result is working for you.

Start with a conversation.
We’ll help you find the next step.

Danny’s Helping Hand

Sometimes the first step
is asking for a hand.

A repair can feel a lot heavier when life is already asking a lot of you. Helping Hand starts with listening, respect, and a conversation about what might help.

  1. Start with a conversation.

If a needed home repair feels out of reach, tell us a little about the situation. You can reach out for yourself or nominate someone with their permission. There’s no need to make your story public to ask for help.

  2. We listen and look at the need.

We talk privately about the repair, the circumstances, and what would make the biggest practical difference. If a visit would help us understand the work, we discuss that with you first.

  3. We explain what help may be possible.

Helping Hand projects depend on available time, materials, skills, and support. We discuss whether we can help, what could be covered, and whether the proposed assistance would be free or discounted. Asking doesn’t guarantee a project, but you deserve a clear answer about the next step.

  4. We agree on a comfortable plan.

Before scheduling, we explain the proposed work, what is included, any contribution we’ve discussed, and how access will work. You have room to ask questions and decide whether to go ahead.

  5. We take care of the work and check in.

We keep you informed, review the result with you, and explain any useful next steps. Sharing your story or photos is a separate, optional choice. Receiving help is never dependent on agreeing to publicity.

Your home. Your dignity. Your choice.

We’ll talk with you about the work and the plan. Any request to share a story or photograph is separate from the help itself, and saying no is okay.
